** “An Island of Sanity is a gift of possibility and refuge created by people's commitment to form healthy community to do meaningful work. It requires sane leaders with unshakable faith in people's innate generosity, creativity, and kindness."
-Margaret Wheatley, RESTORING SANITY: Practices to Awaken Generosity, Creativity & Kindness In Ourselves and Our Organizations
Community Resilience
*Community Resilience is the 2024 theme:
We will explore the 5 Cs of Resilience: Community-Centering-Compassion-Confidence-Commitment
Resilience is cultivating the relational soil, grounded in love for a thriving future.
Resilience is the ability to adapt to changed circumstances while fulfilling one’s core purpose.
Resilience is an essential skill in an age of unforeseeable disruption and volatility.
Resilience is the capacity of a system, enterprise, or a person to maintain its core purpose and integrity in the face of dramatically changed circumstances.
Resources to begin the exploration:
Turning to One Another, Perseverance, Restoring Sanity: Practices to Awaken Generosity, Creativity & Kindness In Ourselves and Our Organizations, Margaret Wheatley
Resilience: Why Things Bounce Back (pp. 7-8), Zolli, Andrew; Healy, Ann Marie.
Community: The Structure of Belonging, Activating the Common Good: Reclaiming Control of our Collective Well-Being. Peter Block

CPL Vision: A just, inclusive and interconnected world—a world that works for all.
In this time of ongoing disruption, it is time to gather AGAIN—for the 4th year—to help shape a positive future, a world that works for all. Let's step into a circle of inspired allies and advocates, standing shoulder to shoulder in co-creation. Bring your Curiosity, Compassion, and Courage to this pivotal conversation.
What leadership is needed NOW to co-create a world that works for all?
Join us as we reconnect, engage, collaborate to consider a shared, positive future, in community.
We will again design a collaborative hybrid event with participation roles for in-person and virtual interaction.
As Purposeful Leaders, holders of space, and conveners of change, it is crucial to have the opportunity to pause and gather with allies and advocates for a world that works for all.
What can we dream together? We have the opportunity to create a future vision, and then learn how to live into it. Together.
